“Dussack according to Meyer: The Flat with an edge”

Description: The flat of the dussack has a lot to offer against an opponent. Sometimes it can get quite sharp. The workshop shall focus on how to involve the flat in the action and where does it take us.

Equipment Requirements: dussack, fencing mask, hand and forearm protection, under-the-belt-safety.

Hemac-Hemathlon will be able to provide up to 10-12 synthetic or wooden dussacks. First come, first served.

Roman Vučajnk

 Roman Vučajnk has been involved with HEMA since the early 2000s. At first he focused on mediaeval German martial heritage; now he is more attracted to styles of urban combat of the 16th century. The legacy of Joachim Meyer is of a particular interest to him, and he is pleased to see quality output by an increasing number of Meyerists taking root. He used to teach at AAD and has had the privilege of teaching and sharing at a number of workshops and events throughout Europe. Roman is a member of HEMAC and an honorary member of De Taille et d’Estoc and Asociación para el Estudio y Desarrollo de las Artes Marciales Europeas.
